Bear Meter shows real-time occupancy at the RSF weight room and predicts how busy it will be for the next several months. The predictions for today are the most accurate, as they update every 15 minutes based on the data from today so far. Bear Meter is a student side project with no university affiliation and no monetization.
Real-time occupancy comes from the RSF's live sensor and predictions are generated by a Random Forest model, retrained monthly on 5+ years of historical data. It accounts for the Berkeley academic calendar, so finals, dead week, breaks, and holidays are all factored in.
